Acunosis

Acunosis is a complementary alternative medicine therapy that combines acupuncture with hypnosis. Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy that involves inserting thin needles in to specific points on the body to promote healing.

The picture shows a process called moxibustion, in which moxa is lit to heat the needle in certain acupuncture treatments.

Hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation and focus that can be used to reduce stress and anxiety, it can also be used to change unwanted behaviours, manage pain and improve overall health.

Acunosis (also known as hypno-puncture) works by combining the best of acupuncture and hypnotherapy. A typical acunosis session can involve the needles going in before or after hypnotherapy
